A Former Summer Camp Transforms Into a Stylish Family Home
It's hard to believe this home used to be a YWCA.
We’ve been longtime fans of Stella & Dot Chief Creative Office Blythe Harris — Lonny previously featured her breezy clapboard cottage in Sag Harbor, New York. Now, Elle Decor has given us a look inside Harris’ gorgeous Northern California home, which started off as an abandoned 19th century summer camp and has turned into the full-time family home.
Blythe and her husband Mark didn’t quite fall in love with the unconventional Mill Valley property at first sight, but something about it spoke to the couple. “Mark and I grew up going to rustic camps,” Blythe says. “Me in the Adirondacks, and he at his grandfather’s fishing camp in northern Ontario.” The pair enlisted English designer Rita Konig to help transform the home, and the results are, well, stunning. Check out a few sneak peek photos below, and head over to Elle Decor for the full story.
